Brandon Bergeron and Brian Adams attended the same Kung Fu & Tai Chi school in New Orleans in 2007, but it wasn’t until years later in 2011 that they would reconnect to form the idea of Cypress Fitness. In the years between Brandon began taking judo and training with kettlebells. While rehabbing and strength training after a judo injury, Brandon honed his passion for fitness and making the body more resilient. After leaving his corporate gig Brandon began training others and eventually teamed up with Brian to write the business plan for Cypress Fitness. Cypress opened its doors in 2012 and since then has been on a mission to provide the most effective training possible while also encouraging its members to focus on recovery and wellness as a whole. When not training at Cypress, Brandon can be found planning his next outdoor adventure or arguing over who has the best burger in NOLA.

“I strive to make Cypress a place where we are experts in our field and promote what works rather than the latest fad. Our philosophy is to not be unreasonably tied to fitness or nutritional concepts, but rather have the ability to adapt and choose what is best in every circumstance.”
