GENERAL INFORMATION

*If it is your first class please arrive 5-10 minutes prior. We’re located inside the Landing Zone building at 625 Celeste St. Once inside, follow the hallway to the right all the way down and you’ll reach the gym. A trainer will greet you once inside and have you complete a brief health/past injury questionnaire.

*You will need a door code to enter the building. You should receive a code in an email either when you create a profile in our Mindbody system or after you schedule your first class. If you do not receive a door code email us at cypressfitness[at]gmail[dot]com or text us at 504-484-9422.

*Please do not hold the door or otherwise let anyone into the building unless you already know them from the gym. Each person should be using his or her own code to enter or call the party they are there to see in order to gain entry. If someone slips in please let a trainer know so that they can make sure they are a legitimate tenant or visitor to the building.

*Parking can be found on Celeste St. alongside the building. There is also a parking lot adjacent to the building (to the left if you are facing the building) near St. Thomas street. There is a black iron gate around the lot. DO NOT park behind the building to the right of our building (corner of Religious & Celeste). This is not our property and they will tow. Most members park on the street or on the grass median in front of the building.

*Please bring a water bottle and towel to class. We have a water fountain in the gym where you can fill your bottle. We also sell bottled water for $1 and Iconic protein drinks for $5.

*There are shelves in the gym to store your things. There are also lockers in the bathroom you are welcome to use as well as a shower.

*Please be aware of our policies below. Also remember you must reserve a spot in class using our Mindbody system. There is a Mindbody site (https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/ASP/adm/home.asp?studioid=23636) and you can also search for us on the Mindbody mobile app. Trainers will not allow those who are not registered to attend if the class is full to capacity. If a class if full you will have an option to be added to the waitlist. If you are moved to the class from the waitlist you will receive a notification email. If it says “Call” next to a class or does not display the number of available spaces, then that means that the class and waitlist is full.

*We have a 2-hour cancellation policy, so if you register but can’t make it be sure to cancel your class at least 2 hours prior to start time to avoid losing that class (for those on Unlimited packages there is a $12 late cancel/no-show fee).

*If you are using Open Gym, trainers have priority over equipment if it is needed for personal training or a class. If this is an inconvenience please schedule your Open Gym workouts during non-class times. Re-rack all weights when finished. This includes placing barbells back in the stand and benches under the squat rack.

*Be respectful of our space and of your fellow members. If you’ve been walking through mud or running in grass do not wear those shoes to the gym. If you sweat on equipment we have disinfectant spray and towels for you to wipe it down.

*Space is sometimes tight but feel free to hang out before or after your session to stretch, foam roll, chat, etc.

*Don’t be afraid to talk to a trainer if you have pain or if you need modification for an exercise. Safety is priority one. Be patient with your training and focus on quality.

*If you have any questions about the workouts, nutrition, rest & recovery, etc. ask a trainer. Too often we only see clients come and go. The trainers are a resource for you so take advantage of their expertise while you’re at the gym.

*We encourage feedback. We want you to look forward to coming to Cypress and enjoy your time here. We are always striving to improve and that is in part through communication with our members. While you can give feedback to any trainer, please try to speak with one of the owners (Brian or Brandon).

POLICIES:

*Cancellation Policy: Once registered, a class must be cancelled at least 2 hours prior to start time to avoid the class being forfeited and deducted from your class count. The class will be forfeited when a client Late Cancels (within 2 hours) or No Shows for the class. For Unlimited Class agreements, in lieu of losing the registered class, clients will be charged a $12 cancellation fee for classes that are Late Cancelled or if the client is a No Show. Any fees accrued will be charged at the end of each calendar month.

*Month-to-Month Agreements: The 4, 8, 12, and Unlimited Classes Per Month (Month-to-Month) options are recurring payments (AutoPay). Clients on a month-to-month agreement can cancel their monthly AutoPay at any time through their Mindbody account. Clients are responsible for knowing their renewal date. Cypress Fitness will not issue a refund after an AutoPay charge has been processed. If you are trying to upgrade or downgrade your package then you must terminate your existing AutoPay, otherwise you will continue to be charged for your existing AutoPay. Cypress Fitness will not issue refunds if you double-purchase an AutoPay. Under extreme circumstances (such as major illness or injury) Cypress Fitness may grant a refund at its discretion, less a $25 adjustment fee. Any adjustment requests to an AutoPay not covered in our policies but agreed to by management is subject to a $25 adjustment fee. Management can assist you if you have questions about your account.

*Six-Month and One-Year Agreements: The 4, 8, 12, and Unlimited Classes Per Month six-month and one-year agreement options are recurring payments (AutoPay). These agreements do NOT renew after the agreement term. Cypress Fitness allows upgrades during your agreement period but not downgrades. Cypress Fitness allows one suspension for one month per agreement period for a six-month agreement, and two one-month suspensions for a one-year agreement. Under certain circumstances (such as major illness or injury) and at its discretion, Cypress Fitness may grant a longer suspension or end the agreement. If you are moving out of the city you can buy-out your agreement by paying the difference between the agreement rate versus the month-to-month rate for each already-paid month of your agreement, and by also providing documentation of your move/new address. Any adjustment requests to an AutoPay not covered in our policies but agreed to by management is also subject to a $25 adjustment fee. Management can assist you if you have questions about your account.

*All current rates and features are as stated on our website. If you are on an older rate/plan that is “grandfathered-in” you will need to re-purchase at the current rate after any suspension, cancellation, or downgrade.

*Cypress Fitness will charge the Drop-In rate for all unpaid class attendances (ex: paid for 8 classes per month but attend a 9th class). You can view the number of classes you have remaining in your Mindbody account.

*Unused classes do not rollover to the next month.

*Cypress Fitness does not issue refunds or transfer of service to another person.

*Cypress Fitness reserve the right to cancel classes if necessary due to severe weather or other emergencies, as well as necessary class cancellations during holidays and Mardi Gras.
