Group Classes

A balanced total-body class designed to improve overall strength, endurance, and body composition. Our trainers can modify workouts to various fitness levels. Workouts can also be adapted to focus on achieving individual goals within the group setting. Equipment used includes TRX suspension trainers, kettlebells, dumbbells, medicine balls, body weight, battle ropes, sandbags, rowing machines, ski ergs, airdyne bikes, and more.

Every week a different trainer leads a specialty class with a theme of his or her choice. This is an opportunity to try something new and keep your routine fresh. These classes will usually be more heavily strength or cardio oriented, or focus more on specific equipment (i.e. battle ropes, kettlebell, TRX, sandbags, kickboxing, etc.). Check the Mindbody schedule for day and time.

New members who purchase a Starter Pack will work one-on-one with a trainer in order to learn the primary movements performed in classes as well as how to properly handle the equipment. We will also introduce the basic terminology we use within many of the workouts so that you adapt quickly to our style of group training. This is also a time where we will discuss basic nutrition as well as complete a baseline assessment.

Cypress Fitness’s Women’s Barbell Club is designed to provide a structured, self-paced yet challenging platform for learning and growing the big three lifts (squat, bench press, and deadlift) as well as other intermediate and advanced lifts.  This class is designed as space for women – defined broadly and inclusively – to use the experience of building strength as a way of building community and taking space in the world. We require pre-requisite fundamentals sessions prior to joining the weekly group class (Sundays @ 11am). The number of pre-requisite sessions required will depend on your training background and experience, though typically it is between 1-3 sessions. The fundamentals sessions are one-on-one and are offered at a reduced personal training rate of $37.50 each.

Members who are new to KB club must learn the fundamentals through one-on-one sessions before joining the ongoing Monday night KB Club classes. Contact us to arrange one-on-one fundamentals sessions. Between 1-4 fundamentals sessions are required, depending on previous experience. Fundamentals sessions are offered at a reduced personal training rate of $37.50 each.

Formats will range from higher-rep endurance training to low-rep strength training. Other primary movements will also be performed, including squats, deadlifts, single-leg exercises, presses, pushups, rows, and pullups. Other equipment may be used at times for supplemental work, including Bulgarian bags, medicine balls, TRX, and cardio machines.
